A State House is this state’s lower house — the people’s chamber of state law. Some states call it the House of Representatives. Some call it the Assembly. Some call it the House of Delegates. Use this state’s name. It is not the United States House. It does not sit in Washington. It does not split a federal district. It is not the State Senate.

Nebraska has no State House. That state is unicameral. The file lives with State Senate. Do not invent a second chamber for Nebraska.

Which seats stand in 2026 is this state’s clock. Alabama elects all one hundred and five House seats every four years, on the same Tuesday as its State Senate. Other states run two-year terms, or stagger, or sit out even years. Do not invent a 2026 State House race where that state’s seats are not on the ballot.
