How the job fits this community
The 2026 ballot uses Wisconsin’s 2022 congressional map unless a court later says otherwise. The 2nd is the Madison seat: Dane County and neighboring south-central towns on that drawing.
This is not Milwaukee and not the Driftless 3rd. Confirm the official line.
Federal work here is a capital city, a land-grant campus, and towns that still file like Wisconsin small cities. Madison files SSA, a research inbox, and state-agency traffic that leaks federal. The out-towns file smaller. The same office holds both.
