How the job fits this community
Virginia’s congressional map for the 2026 ballot is the 2021 Special Masters map that has been in force since 2022, unless a higher court later says otherwise. A mid-decade map was put to voters in April 2026; the Supreme Court of Virginia voided that referendum on 8 May 2026. Do not treat a campaign graphic from that fight as the ballot. Confirm on ELECT.
The 5th on that map is south-central Virginia, including Charlottesville / Albemarle and a long rural map toward the Carolina line. It is a campus city and farm counties on the same payroll. Confirm the official line.
Federal work here is a university inbox and USDA country. Charlottesville files students, hospitals, and SSA. The south-central counties file a long drive. Staff who only know the downtown mall are not doing the job.
