How the job fits this community
New York’s congressional map for the 2026 ballot is the map the legislature passed and the Governor signed on 28 February 2024 (S.8653A / A.9310A). It is not the 2022 special-master map. A January 2026 order against the 11th was stayed by the U.S. Supreme Court on 2 March 2026; that case was then dismissed. Confirm on the State Board of Elections and voter lookup. The Hudson Valley is split. Look up the address.
The 19th is a wide upstate seat: Binghamton and Broome, Ithaca and Tompkins, the Catskills (Delaware, Greene, Sullivan), Columbia, Chenango, and pieces of Ulster and Otsego. This is not the old Putnam–Westchester 19th. Albany is the 20th. Confirm the county.
Federal work here is a Southern-Tier inbox, a Finger-Lakes inbox, and a Catskills inbox. Binghamton files a city. Ithaca files a campus. Hudson and Catskill file a river town. Staff who still file Carmel or Peekskill here are on a map that died a decade ago.
