How the job fits this community
New York’s congressional map for the 2026 ballot is the map the legislature passed and the Governor signed on 28 February 2024 (S.8653A / A.9310A). It is not the 2022 special-master map. A January 2026 order against the 11th was stayed by the U.S. Supreme Court on 2 March 2026; that case was then dismissed. Confirm on the State Board of Elections and voter lookup. The Hudson Valley is split. Look up the address.
The 18th is all of Orange County plus most of Dutchess and the Hudson towns of Ulster: Newburgh, Middletown, Poughkeepsie, Beacon, Hyde Park, Kingston, New Paltz, Woodstock. Putnam is the 17th. Binghamton and Ithaca are the 19th. Confirm the county.
Federal work here is a mid-Hudson inbox. Newburgh and Middletown file like cities. Poughkeepsie files a county seat. Kingston and New Paltz file an Ulster desk. West Point sits in Orange. Staff who still file Putnam or White Plains here are on a retired map.
