How the job fits this community
New York’s congressional map for the 2026 ballot is the map the legislature passed and the Governor signed on 28 February 2024 (S.8653A / A.9310A). It is not the 2022 special-master map. A January 2026 order against the 11th was stayed by the U.S. Supreme Court on 2 March 2026; that case was then dismissed. Confirm on the State Board of Elections and voter lookup. Brooklyn is split. Manhattan is split. Staten Island is one seat. Look up the address.
The 12th is entirely Manhattan: the Upper West Side, the Upper East Side, Midtown, Times Square, Hell’s Kitchen, Lincoln Square, Yorkville, Roosevelt Island, Gramercy, Murray Hill. It is the smallest House seat by land area. Lower Manhattan is the 10th. This is not the old Brooklyn–Queens 12th. Confirm the address.
Federal work here is a Midtown inbox and two park-side inboxes. Midtown and Times Square file tourism, transit, and a commercial stack. The Upper East Side files a hospital row and a neighborhood. The Upper West Side files a civic campus that used to sit in a differently numbered seat. Roosevelt Island files like its own town. Staff who still file Brooklyn or Queens here are on a retired map.
