How the job fits this community
Michigan’s congressional map for the 2026 ballot is the Chestnut map adopted by the Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission in December 2021, in force since 2022. The commission is dormant. No mid-decade congressional redraw is in force. Confirm on the Secretary of State and MVIC. Wayne and Oakland counties are split.
The 7th is the Lansing–East Lansing metro, Livingston County, and a small part of Oakland. Oakland is split. Confirm the address.
Federal work here is a capital city, a land-grant campus, and an exurb. Lansing files state-agency traffic that leaks federal. East Lansing files a university inbox. Livingston files a commute toward Detroit. The same Member holds all three.
