What this office is
A United States Representative is a federal legislator elected from one congressional district. Florida’s 25th is one of the state’s 28 House seats. The term is two years. The whole House stands for election every even-numbered year.
This page is Side One: inform, educate, inspire. It is not the race, not legal advice, and not an official government notice. For the 2026 cycle, use the election twin.

How the job fits this community
Florida’s congressional map for the 2026 ballot is HB 1D, signed 4 May 2026. The 1st through 7th were not redrawn. Confirm on the Division of Elections and voter lookup. Look up the address.
The 25th is redrawn. It used to sit only in Broward — Hollywood, Miramar, Pembroke Pines, Dania Beach, Weston. HB 1D turns it into a coastal strip from part of Delray Beach south through Pompano Beach and Hallandale to Miami Beach. Weston and Pembroke Pines left. This is not the old inland-Broward 25th. Confirm the address.
Federal work here is a shore inbox. Miami Beach files an island city. Delray and Pompano file the north end of the strip. Staff who still file Weston or Pembroke Pines here are on the 2022 map.
The Representative is the human hinge between this Delray-to-Miami-Beach map and Washington.
What the job entails
- Legislate. Introduce and cosponsor bills. Sit on committees. Vote.
- The purse. The House originates revenue bills. Appropriations decide what actually gets built or staffed.
- Oversight. Hearings and letters that watch the executive branch.
- Casework. SSA, VA, IRS, USCIS, military records, passports.
- District presence. Town halls, city halls, employers, schools — the district is the employer.
- Two homes. Washington for votes and committees. The district for the people who hired the office.
What a day is like
There is no single Tuesday. In Washington: a visitor from Miami Beach and a visitor from Delray. In the district: a Dade desk and a Broward-shore desk.
The staff is the office. A serious Member is a serious principal: clear priorities, honest casework, no rumor as policy.
Place snapshot (verify official sources)

- Weston and Pembroke Pines left. Not the old inland 25th.
Orientation adapted from public congressional-district descriptions and Florida official election sources for education. The map and the Member of record are whatever the Division of Elections and House.gov say today.
