How the job fits this community
California’s congressional map for the 2026 ballot is Proposition 50 (AB 604), adopted by voters on 4 November 2025. The U.S. Supreme Court allowed the map in February 2026. Unless a later order says otherwise, Proposition 50 is the map — not the 2021 Citizens Redistricting Commission lines. Confirm on the California Secretary of State and the voter-status lookup. Look up the address.
The 6th is no longer a Sacramento-County-only north-side seat. Proposition 50 made it Roseville, Rocklin, Citrus Heights, West Sacramento, and north and east Sacramento. Rancho Cordova is the 3rd. Elk Grove is the 7th. Confirm the address.
Federal work here is an I-80 inbox and a river-city inbox. Roseville and Rocklin file Placer suburbs that used to be the 3rd. Citrus Heights files Sacramento County. West Sacramento files a Yolo city that used to sit with downtown. Staff who still treat this numbered seat as Rancho Cordova-only are on the 2021 map.
