This is a regular House election for the whole chamber. It is not a U.S. House race (Arkansas’s four congressional seats are a different desk). It is not a U.S. Senate race. Arkansas’s 2026 Senate race is Class II. It is not the Governor race, though Arkansas’s Governor is also on 2026. It is not the State Senate.
The 2026 fiscal session already sat 8 April through 29 April 2026. That sitting was built for appropriations. November is the hire for the next two years, not a re-run of April. Combined-service caps (sixteen years or twelve consecutive, depending on when the member was first elected) are a clock, not a crown. Confirm that math on the official roster.
File with the House, not a Delta thread
A resident who was mistreated by a state agency, a money bill that never moved, or a district office that would not answer files on official doors: the Representative’s district office, the committee of jurisdiction, the courts, and — for election process — the Secretary of State and the county clerk. A Facebook thread is not a grievance. A Delta rumor is not a filing.
Professional standards for a state employee sit with that agency and with the law the House actually wrote. The Attorney General is the state’s lawyer. The House is not that complaint box. Impeachment, when it is actually this constitution’s file, is articles in the House and a Senate trial — Article 15. Address under Section 3 is a different door. After a tornado night and a river rise
Relief this chamber actually votes is a statute and an appropriation. A tornado night in the central counties, a Delta flood, an ice storm on the River, a poultry-year statute — mutual aid and emergency years still run through the Governor’s desk first. The House’s hour is the bill that funds the year after, the fiscal-session question that asks whether the money moved, and the rural hospital or timber statute that was already on the calendar.
West Memphis is Arkansas. It is not Tennessee. Texarkana is Arkansas. It is not Texas. Mutual aid with a Missouri or Mississippi county is real. Those counties do not vote in this chamber.
Appropriation is the even-year service
Bills. In an even year, the fiscal sitting was appropriations first. A district office that returns the call from a precinct that never makes a Northwest Arkansas broadcast. A session calendar short enough that the last-three-days ban on new bills is a real cost. A vacancy after this election is still a special where the law actually calls one. A map fight is a Board of Apportionment file and a court clock. The Constitution does not pause because a fiscal session is thirty days. Equal protection does not pause because a district is rural. Section 34’s last-three-days ban does not pause because a calendar is crowded.
Rights on seventy-five counties
Petition. Property. Peaceable assembly on the River and in an Ozark precinct. Equal protection in seventy-five counties and one hundred districts. The right to a sample ballot that matches what the machine or the paper actually shows.
This chamber writes state law that can touch a license, a tax, a school, a prison, a river, and a vote. It must not treat Little Rock as the whole state, Fayetteville as the capital, or a U.S. House race as this desk. It must not treat the State Senate as this desk. It must not crown itself.
Little Rock is the capital. The people of the district hire the seat. The Secretary of State is the door.
