Sheriff Election — Prince George's County, Maryland

Prince George's Sheriff · the arena · the Beltway-east county hires this desk in 2026
The 2026 oval on Chrysler Way
This page is the arena for this office. Unique teaching for the job lives on the office twin. The county as a place is taught at Prince George's County.
It is not a campaign. Names belong on the official sample ballot. No crown.
Upper Marlboro hires a court Sheriff on a Beltway map
Article IV, § 44: four years. The SBE 2026 offices page lists Sheriff as a local office on the gubernatorial ballot — same even-year Tuesday as Governor, Attorney General, State Senate, and House of Delegates.
- Closed primary: Tuesday, 23 June 2026 (already sat).
- General: Tuesday, 3 November 2026.
- Qualify / enter: Art. XVII § 4 — as soon as practicable; immediately upon qualification.
- Vacancy: Governor appointment for the remainder.
The Governor is 2026. That is not this oval. The County Executive and eleven Council members sit on the same table — not this oval. Class II U.S. Senate is not a 2026 Maryland race. A District rumor does not hire this badge. Montgomery already hired its own court Sheriff. Prince George County, Virginia, does not vote here.
Board of Elections sits on Mercantile Lane in Largo
1100 Mercantile Lane, Suite 115A, Largo, MD 20774. Not 5303 Chrysler Way. Not Main Street. Not the District. Confirm registration, sample ballot, early voting (22–29 October 2026 on the live SBE page), and mail-in on elections.maryland.gov and voter lookup.
Sample ballot in the seat, not at National Harbor
Do not take names from a harbor rumor or a Virginia broadcast.
- Official candidate list / sample ballot — Maryland SBE
- Voter lookup
- Current Sheriff of record — official Prince George's County Sheriff listing
If a site and the official sample ballot disagree, the sample ballot wins.
What you are hiring — Chrysler Way, not County Police
You are hiring the Sheriff of Prince George's County — court security, civil process, warrants, evictions, child-support process, field operations the office actually posts, not the County Police 911 system. You are not hiring Prince George's County Police. You are not hiring Corrections at Dille Drive. You are not hiring the Montgomery County Sheriff. You are not hiring the Governor.
Read the office page for Dille Drive as not this house.
Remedy when a writ misses Accokeek
A bad service or a court paper that missed Laurel — this Sheriff’s door and the courts. The County Executive is not the internal-affairs substitute for a paper. Not a comment section. Not the District.
Relief when the Anacostia comes up at Bladensburg
An Anacostia flood, ice on U.S. 50, a closure at the Beltway — this county’s mutual aid first. Montgomery’s I-270 is a different count. Charles’s Crain Highway is a different count.
Service — papers, court, not Dille Drive booking
Papers. A Main Street courtroom. Night hours the office actually posts. Transport to a house this Sheriff does not run. That is the purchase. 911 remains County Police.
Due process does not wait for a District rumor
A levy in Brandywine still needs notice. Confirmation of sale is still the court. The Constitution does not pause because a visitor photographed a different capital.
Rights from Laurel to Brandywine
Equal protection on the Beltway-east map. Counsel. Property. A College Park student and a Brandywine farmer hire the same Sheriff.
