Burlington County, New Jersey

Burlington County · Mount Holly · the pines still hire a county
Mount Holly is the seat. Cherry Hill is not this county.
Burlington is a West Jersey county on the Delaware River, one of the original counties of 1683, largest in New Jersey by land area. Mount Holly is the seat. Cherry Hill is Camden County. Trenton is the capital of New Jersey and sits in Mercer — this county’s northwest corner looks at the capital and remains Burlington. Atlantic and Ocean sit east through the pines. Monmouth touches the northeast.
Municipalities include Mount Holly, Burlington City, Bordentown, Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Evesham, Medford, Cinnaminson, Palmyra, Maple Shade, Florence, Willingboro, Westampton, Pemberton, Bass River, and the rest of the forty. Moorestown is this county. Cherry Hill is Camden. Hammonton is Atlantic. Princeton is Mercer.
This page is Side One for the place. The Sheriff’s job — court on Rancocas Road, process, traffic and community units, not the Grant Street jail — is taught at Office of the Sheriff — Burlington County.
Commissioners, not a County Executive
Burlington did not take the Optional County Charter Executive form. The Board of County Commissioners is the county board. That is not Atlantic’s Executive on Atlantic Avenue. That is not Bergen’s Plaza Executive. Camden is also a commissioner county, and is still a different map.
The Sheriff is a constitutional officer, three years. The Commissioners fund the office. They do not hire this badge. Last regular sheriff general was Tuesday, 4 November 2025. Next regular is Tuesday, 7 November 2028. Tuesday, 3 November 2026 is not this oval. The Governor last sat 2025 and next sits 2029 — a four-year desk, not this three-year badge.
Pinelands and the Delaware. Joint Base is federal.
The Delaware, the Rancocas Creek, and the Pinelands National Reserve are this land. U.S. 206, I-295, the Turnpike, and Route 70 are this pavement. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst sits on this map and on Ocean’s. It is federal. No Palisades as the county story. No Boardwalk as the county hall. Staff who paste a casino onto Mount Holly are on the wrong county.
How a Rancocas public actually files a paper
Each municipality has a site. Moorestown’s site does not speak for Bass River. The Sheriff’s listing speaks for court, process, warrants, traffic assistance, and community units. The Burlington County Jail at 54 Grant Street, Mount Holly is the Department of Corrections, a Warden, not this Sheriff. The County Clerk is at 50 Rancocas Road. Do not send a Pemberton family to Cherry Hill for a county paper. Do not send them to Trenton for this badge.
Courts in Mount Holly, a jail with a Warden
Crime in Mount Laurel is often Mount Laurel Police. Crime in a township is that township. New Jersey State Police is the state — Red Lion and Bordentown barracks sit on this map. Civil process, Superior Court security, sheriff sales, and warrants are this Sheriff. Jail as a local house is Grant Street Corrections. Jail as a long state sentence is state DOC. Rights do not change at the Medford line. Remedy for township police is the township. Remedy for a Sheriff’s paper is the Sheriff. Relief when the Rancocas floods Mount Holly is this count first.
A student who stays on Rancocas Road
A student uses town pages, the county jobs board, or the Sheriff’s official listing at 49 Rancocas Road, Ground Floor G4. Rowan College at Burlington County is a campus. It is not the jail. Outreach that only knows Delaware River tourism is not doing Washington Township in the pines.
