A Hartford town race is a town race. Orange and Rutland hire their own sheriffs. The Governor’s two-year desk is not this hire. Do not skip 2026 because a law-school calendar is in the next building.
County-office petitions: 100 signatures, major-party filing with the county clerk. Vermont mails the general ballot by October 1 — vote.vermont.gov. Polls close 7 p.m. Confirm on the Secretary of State.
