2026 Election — Mayor of Trenton

Trenton Mayor · 2026 · educational cover · city-run action · American Future Type
This is Side Two
This page is the arena for this office, this cycle. Unique teaching for the job lives on the office twin.
It is not a campaign. Names belong on the official sample ballot.
When — 3 November 2026 is this hire
- Next regular Mayor election: Tuesday 3 November 2026 (four-year municipal clock; term after certification through 31 December 2030)
- This is 2026. Trenton’s official Office Information page lists 1 Mayor and 3 at-large Council seats for the 2026 general election. Polls 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
This is not a Governor race. New Jersey’s Governor clock is a different office. You are hiring the Mayor of this city.
Who is on the ballot
Do not take names from a news comment or a text thread.
- Official candidate list — Certified Candidates

If a site and the official sample ballot disagree, the sample ballot wins. A runoff, if the city’s law requires one, is a later official date — confirm on the Clerk’s page, not a rumor.
What you are hiring
You are hiring the Mayor of Trenton for this city — four years, Mayor–Council charter, four wards and three at-large as the check. Read the office page first. Politics, law, technology, justice, ministry, education, intelligence, and outreach on this land are the job. Not a slogan. Newark is a different city.
Remedy — when a Trenton street went wrong
A resident who was mistreated files on the city’s official complaint and professional-standards doors, not on a comment section. Internal affairs for police, fire investigation for fire, the City Council as a check, and the courts. The Mercer courthouse is not the Mayor’s complaint box. Send people to trentonnj.org.
Relief — Delaware flood before the state desk
Delaware surge, Assunpink flood, blizzard, heat, a wreck on U.S. 1, a water-main break in the wards. Trenton Water Works is a city utility in this minute. Mutual aid with surrounding townships is real. Newark is not Trenton’s firehouse. The Governor’s emergency desk is later — even though the State House sits here. This hydrant is first.
Service — State Street is the job
Papers the city has to serve. Transports. A plow on a river hill. A ladder company in Chambersburg. Streetlights. Water-works walk-in. The staff is the office. A serious Mayor is a serious principal: clear priorities, honest service requests, no rumor as policy.
Due process — November municipal is the clock
Arrest, booking, presentment, property, permits, hearings. The Constitution does not pause because a radio is busy. Civil service and union clocks are real. Petition filing ran through the City Clerk on the official calendar. Do not teach a shortcut.
Rights — four wards, one river city
Counsel. Property. Peaceable assembly on the State House grounds and in the neighborhoods. Equal protection from the North Ward to Chambersburg. The Mayor is a servant of this city, not a brand.
