What you are hiring
You are hiring the Mayor of Concord for this city — two years, Council–Manager charter, City Manager on the daily desk, fifteen-member Council as the check. Read the office page first. Politics, law, technology, justice, ministry, education, intelligence, and outreach on this land are the job. Not a slogan. Manchester is a different city.
Remedy — when a Concord street went wrong
A resident who was mistreated files on the city’s official complaint and professional-standards doors, not on a comment section. Internal affairs for police, fire investigation for fire, the City Council as a check, and the courts. The county courthouse is not the Mayor’s complaint box. Send people to concordnh.gov.
Relief — freeze before the state desk
Merrimack flood, blizzard, ice storm, a wreck on I-93 through the city, a water-main break on the Heights. Mutual aid with surrounding towns is real. Manchester is not Concord’s firehouse. The Governor’s emergency desk is later — even though the State House sits here. This hydrant is first.
Service — Main Street is the job
Papers the city has to serve. Transports. A plow on a river hill. A ladder company downtown. Streetlights. The staff is the office. A serious Mayor is a serious principal: clear priorities, honest service requests, no rumor as policy.
Due process — two years is the clock
Arrest, booking, presentment, property, permits, hearings. The Constitution does not pause because a radio is busy. Civil service and union clocks are real. Filing is at the City Clerk, not a campaign site. Do not teach a shortcut.
Rights — Penacook to the Heights
Counsel. Property. Peaceable assembly on the State House plaza and in the neighborhoods. Equal protection from every ward. The Mayor is a servant of this city, not a brand.
