Logan County · Paris and Booneville, Arkansas · the Sheriff hall sits in Paris · Booneville is not this Sheriff hall · Paris, Texas, is not this hall

Two county seats. Paris is the Sheriff hall. Booneville is the southern courthouse. This is not two counties.

Logan County, Arkansas, was created 22 March 1871 as Sarber County and renamed Logan in 1875. Association of Arkansas Counties and the live Sheriff site: this is a dual-seat county. Northern District sits in Paris1908 courthouse at 25 W. Walnut Street. Southern District sits in Booneville1929 courthouse at 366 N. Broadway Avenue. There is one Sheriff. Live Sheriff, ASA, and the county election commission put headquarters and the 2019 Detention Center at 201 S. Lowder Street, Paris. Booneville is a second seat of justice, not a second county, not a second Sheriff.

Magazine is a town. Ratcliff, Subiaco, Caulksville, Scranton, and Blue Mountain are not the hall. Mount Magazine State Park is land — 2,753 feet, the tallest mountain in Arkansas. It is not this jail.

This is not Logan, Utah. This is not Logan County, Illinois / Kentucky / Ohio / West Virginia / Colorado / Nebraska / North Dakota / Oklahoma. This is not Paris, Texas. This is not Paris, France. Little Rock is the capital of Arkansas. It does not sit here.

This page is Side One for the place. The Sheriff’s job — northern and southern patrol and the 100-bed Lowder Street house this badge still holds in Paris — is taught at Office of the Sheriff — Logan County.

Eleven justices. Separate collector. They fund two courthouses. They do not hire this badge.

Logan is an elected Quorum Court of eleven justices of the peace. Justices sit two years. The County Judge is the chief executive (Amendment 55), presides, has no vote, and holds the veto. County Judge lists Paris 479-963-3601 and Booneville 479-675-3744, office 25 W. Walnut, Room 22, Paris, AR 72855. They fund roads, both courthouse campuses, and the Sheriff’s budget. They do not hire the Sheriff. The people do. Paris City Council is a city body. Booneville City Council is a city body. Booneville is not this commission as the whole county.

Northern courthouse: 25 W. Walnut, Paris (15th Judicial District). Southern courthouse: 366 N. Broadway, Booneville. Collector is a separate elected desk with windows in both towns. Do not invent a combined Sheriff-Collector here.

The Sheriff is four years, Art. 7 § 46, 2026 with the Governor. Take office 1 January 2027. The Mayor of Paris is a city clock. The Mayor of Booneville is a city clock.

Mount Magazine, Arkansas River Valley, Ouachita foothills. Little Rock is the capital.

Arkansas 22 and Arkansas 10 are the through roads. Mount Magazine is the skyline. The Arkansas River Valley is the north. The Ouachita foothills are the south. Franklin is north — Ozark / Charleston are that dual-seat neighbor. Johnson is northeast — Clarksville is that hall. Yell is east — Danville / Dardanelle. Scott is south — Waldron is that hall. Sebastian is west — Fort Smith is that hall. Staff who paste a Paris, Texas, postcard onto Walnut Street, or treat Booneville City Hall as this Sheriff, or file “two sheriffs because two courthouses,” are on the wrong county.

How a Paris public finds the Logan desk — and how a Booneville public still uses the same Sheriff

County Judge / County Clerk / Circuit Clerk (northern): 25 W. Walnut, Paris, AR 72855. Southern Circuit Clerk door: 366 N. Broadway, Booneville, AR 72927. Sheriff HQ and Jail: 201 S. Lowder Street, Paris, AR 72855. Confirm addresses on logancountyark.org and loganso.com. A student who only knows a Utah photograph, or only a Booneville storefront as this oval, has not found Paris. A student south of the mountain still uses this Sheriff — the southern courthouse is a filing door, not a second oval.

Lowder Street still jails. Booneville’s city jail is municipal. Grober Street is the old house.

Crime in unincorporated Logan — Magazine country, Subiaco roads, Ratcliff, Scranton, mountain roads under Magazine, river-valley roads toward Franklin — is this Sheriff. Crime in Paris is often Paris Police. Crime in Booneville is often Booneville Police. Magazine Police is a town department. This Sheriff is not those departments. Live listings put HQ and detention at 201 S. Lowder Street, Paris. The 2019 house replaced a 33-bed 1989 facility on Grober StreetGrober is not the live house. Booneville keeps a small city jail for municipal misdemeanor arrestees; that is not this county house. No separate county Department of Corrections turned up — do not invent a jailer split. Do not send a family looking for a county booking to Booneville City Hall, to Grober Street, or to Paris, Texas. Civil process and courthouse security at both district doors are the Sheriff. Rights do not change on the mountain. Remedy for Booneville Police is the City. Remedy for a Sheriff’s paper is the Sheriff. Relief when Magazine fog sits is this count first.

Care without inventing a Magazine chapel as this county

A peace order served in Booneville. A transport from 201 S. Lowder to 25 W. Walnut, or south to 366 N. Broadway, without becoming Booneville PD. Do not invent a church. Do not invent Paris, Texas, as this badge. Do not invent Booneville as this hall.

What Logan actually watches

Court calendar in Paris. Court calendar in Booneville. A wreck on Arkansas 22. Ice on the mountain road toward Mount Magazine State Park. High water in the river valley. A night road toward Subiaco. Coordination with Paris PD, Booneville PD, Magazine municipal, and ASP without becoming those departments. Coordination with Franklin’s Sheriff or Sebastian’s Sheriff is mutual aid between two offices, not a merger. A Texas photograph does not steal the seat. A Utah photograph does not steal the seat.
